How to Wear a Sanitary Pad the Right Way

Step 1:

Gather your panty and sanitary pad. You should choose a very comfortable pair of underwear that is soft and does not irritate your skin. A pure cotton material panty works perfectly well. Also, period days are unpredictable and sometimes leakage can be out of your control. So, choose an old panty that you may have specially reserved for that time of the month. Step 2:

Take your sanitary pad and unwrap it. If it is a large folded pad, unfold it. Most sanitary pads have an adhesive paper, so peel the paper to begin. It is a thin paper, just like that you find on most stickers. Upon peeling, the sticky back is revealed.

 

Step 3:

Gently place the backside of the pad on the centre of the panty. Press it firmly so that it doesn’t move or shift. Remember, if you do not place your pad perfectly, it could move and lead to embarrassing leaks. So centre the pad carefully before moving on to the next step. If you do feel that you need more protection on the back, place your pad slightly more towards the back of the panty.

 

Step 4:

Take off the adhesive paper on the wings and wrap them around the underside of your panties. The wings do a very important job of holding the pad in place. They also prevent the pad from unsticking as you go about your day.
